The Habitat ReStore

bullet What is a ReStore?

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are retail outlets that make available new and gently used building and home improvement materials at a fraction of normal prices. More than 500 HFH affiliates across the U.S. & Canada have established ReStores that help local affiliates fund the construction of Habitat houses. Materials sold by Habitat ReStores are donated by building supply stores, contractors, manufacturers, and individuals. In addition to raising funds, ReStores help the environment by putting useable materials into use instead of into landfills.

bullet Benefits of the Sandtown Habitat ReStore

bullet It raises money for SHH to rehab additional homes in our neighborhood.
bullet It helps the environment by diverting tons of useable material away from landfills.
bullet Contractors, businesses and individuals benefit when they receive a tax deduction and avoid landfill fees.
bullet The ReStore provides quality low-cost remodeling materials for the growing number of homeowners in Sandtown and surrounding neighborhoods.

*** Sandtown Habitat envisions an increase in house production by one home per year with funds generated by the ReStore, which is co-located with our warehouse and offices at 1300 N. Fulton Avenue. The Sandtown Habitat ReStore is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To contact the ReStore directly, send email to restore@sandtownhabitat.org or call 410-868-7636.  ***
