Thank you for your interest in
volunteering with Sandtown Habitat for
Humanity. We have a variety of
opportunities for volunteer involvement.
You do not need to be skilled in
construction to have an impact – only a
willingness to learn!
Volunteers must commit to a full day
of volunteering which is 8:45 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. (Tuesday through Saturday). We
are unable to accept individuals and
groups that are unable to participate
for the entire day.
***Effective
1/1/2010
the minimum age requirement
for all volunteers will be
16 years of age***
How do I volunteer?
Follow these 3 simple steps:
- Read the Volunteer
Orientation Manual. Also, please
read the Volunteer Safety Manual
prior to your scheduled volunteer
day.
- Complete the appropriate
volunteer scheduling form and return
it to the volunteer coordinator at
volunteer@sandtownhabitat.org.
You must list the date you would
like to come out along with contact
information in order to be
considered.
- You will then be contacted
within 5 business days by the
volunteer coordinator to confirm
a scheduled time slot.
- Please note, due to the high
volume of inquiries we receive
we may not be able to
accommodate the date requested
or group size for every request.
We will make a reasonable effort
to place each request we
receive.
- Saturday groups are limited
to 10 people per group.

- Fill out the Waiver of
Liability form. Minors must have
a parent or legal guardian sign too
or they will not be allowed to work!
You may either mail the form to the
SHFH office at 1300 N. Fulton Ave,
Baltimore, MD 21217 or bring it with
you when you come out.
